My background training is in business (MBA, 2010) and crafts, (Three Dimensional Crafts, 1st Class Hons., 1998). Plus, I have 14 years running a creative business where I worked in Brighton; designing and making lighting for interior designers and galleries, which phased out when I had children.
Between 2012-2017, I worked freelance supporting creative organisations and individuals in the background alongside raising my two boys. My work combined of project management, design and delivery of seminars on business development and creativity, business mentoring, research and writing for tender bids, grant applications, and business and marketing plans. I worked mainly with art organisations, charities and FE and HE education, and micro-businesses. As my boys were becoming more independent and I decided to start employment.
Currently, I work full time as part of the business development team at local award winning charity The Nelson Trust. I'm leading on small grant applications and supporting bid developments. I'm a volunteer fundraiser, offering few hours a week for another local charity The Door, where I'm seeking grants and occasionally supporting to write applications.
I'm available on a ad hoc basis. Sessions are limited to evenings and weekends.
